Tomorrow – Atomic Blend Morning!

20160220_223041460_iOSA special shout-out and thank you to my blogging friend, Robert, for being so kind as to send me a couple of very special coffees to try out! I now have a pound of each of Craven Coffee’s French Roast and Atomic Blend coffees. These are apparently a couple of favourites of Robert that he wanted me to try, so after a quick trip to ECS COFFEE this afternoon, to pick up a Keurig cup that I could brew some loose grounds in, I’m ready to go!

Thanks again Robert, and Sunday morning will be ATOMIC I think! I may take the French Roast to the office to share with the team there on Monday. I hope I can repay the favour some day with something for you!

Boyz of Pop…Coming Soon!

boyzofpopWell, it was a long weekend here in Ontario this past weekend, and I took the whole weekend off of posting, and pretty much being online in any way. It was relaxing as we enjoyed the weekend as a family, cooking, reading, playing games, etc. Real downtime, in my opinion 🙂

This, however, brings me to a very exciting announcement involving one of our boys (or “boyz”, I suppose, if you read the poster). He and three other young men will be performing this summer, in tribute to several past and present boy bands. Details are still coming in,  but we will update everyone as we get information!

For those that don’t know me in person…our son is the one on the right…well, our left, looking at the picture…yeah, the left…that’s it 🙂

The Stat Connection – WHY?

So, this morning my office commute took over twice the normal time, thanks to a dusting of snow (seriously…it was only about 1-2 inches). Come on folks, we’re Canadian! Our friends on the East Coast are getting dumped on, and I bet they’re doing better than us!

That’s not the topic of today’s post, though…I’m now behind on my day and at a loss for a good topic, so I relied on the ever-popular WordPress Daily Post for inspiration, and lo and behold, when I saw today’s prompt, I thought it would be pretty darn cool to take a look back on this site’s short lifespan to see where my most popular days were (based on visits and views) and maybe get some input from readers on why they received more “action” than others…so without further adieu…the top 3 days on Instant Human, Just Add Coffee [insert drum-roll here]! Sean Connery is IN THE HOUSE!

OK well he would be if Audible ever approached me saying they want to convert my humble little site into an audiobook and asked me who I want to narrate!

seanconneryCan’t you just imagine the best James Bond ever voicing my silly little ramblings? Come on…go to any of my posts that you’ve read in the past (or – better yet – find one you haven’t) and read it using Sean Connery’s voice in your head…didn’t it just make that post a THOUSAND TIMES BETTER??? It sure did for me 🙂

Other people I would consider would be Seth MacFarlane, Patrick Stewart, and Keanu Reeves (more “John Wick”, though, than “Bill & Ted”). Oh, and in case you were wondering where the heck this all stems from, check out the WordPress Daily Post. I look forward to reading some of your angles taken on this post prompt. 🙂

Guess I’d Better Start Driving!

I had to LOL at this one! My phone just alerted me (thanks to Waze) that I should be leaving soon for an appointment…the funny thing is, the appointment is on my personal calendar, and it’s just the Leafs/ Bruins game in Boston tonight!

BostonDrive

I guess I should leave shortly if I want to get to Boston on time!

Waze is great at keeping you on schedule based on current traffic conditions when you have to get to appointments, and let me tell you, I use it DAILY, whether it’s just for the commute to and from the office, or navigating Toronto during the day getting to sales calls.

Coffee, Anyone?

It’s fumugnny…several people that have visited the blog in its first month of existence have asked if I like coffee, and the answer to this is a resounding “Yes!“.

I thought I’d have a bit of fun on this Tuesday morning and share a bit about what kind of coffee I prefer, and show off my new personal mug that I use in the office (with my own photography featured, of course 🙂 )

My taste for coffee is varied (similar to my music and reading tastes, I guess), and I have to mention, I suppose, that being a Canadian, yes, I enjoy a Timmy’s every now and then, but in the office, I usually enjoy the Paradiso Dark by Second Cup in our Tassimo brewer. A couple of these in the morning usually gets me through the busiest of days. My weekend taste differs a bit, so on a lazy Saturday morning at home, I enjoy one of the few “flavoured” coffees that I actually like – Wild Mountain Blueberry by Green Mountain Coffee – in our Keurig.

So, what are your favourite coffees? Not a coffee drinker? Well, you’re still welcome here LOL
